Dr Eric Douglas is an accomplished respiratory and sleep physician. He has a passion for providing exceptional patient care and advancing medical knowledge. Dr Douglas's commitment is evident in his compassionate approach and personalised, patient-centred care. Dr Douglas studied at The University of Queensland, where he completed his Bachelor of Science (BSc) and obtained his Medical Bachelor and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degrees. He pursued further training at The Royal Brisbane, Wollongong, and Concord Hospitals. Dr Douglas has travelled to John Radcliffe Hospital and Churchill Hospitals, which are part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, to pursue further training in a lung cancer and pulmonary nodules clinical fellowship.

Dr Douglas’s expertise encompasses various respiratory conditions, including lung cancer, pulmonary nodules, COVID-19, COPD (emphysema), asthma, allergy, bronchiectasis, complex lung infections, smoking cessation, and interstitial lung diseases. Dr Douglas also treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), restless legs syndrome, and insomnia. Dr Douglas utilises cutting-edge techniques and stays updated with the latest advancements in respiratory and sleep medicine to deliver the highest standard of care. His expertise in bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) sets him apart in managing complex respiratory cases.

Dr Douglas was granted fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in General Medicine in 2018, followed by Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in 2020. He maintains active membership in The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, and the European Respiratory Society. Dr Douglas actively engages in research and academic pursuits, publishing his work in international medical literature and presenting at national conferences. 

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr Douglas enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in outdoor activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.
