Dr Gerry Olive

Dr Gerry Olive is a Queensland trained Thoracic Physician. He has been consulting at North Lakes with NBST since 2020, where he provides exceptional, personable care for the full spectrum of Respiratory conditions.  (Not pure sleep related disorders – we have a number of excellent sleep physicians for that!)

Gerry has particular expertise in lung nodules and the lung cancer diagnostic pathway, within which he is undertaking a PhD. Alongside clinical expertise and research involvement, as the current Deputy Convenor of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand Lung Cancer Special Interest Group, he is involved in education, advocacy and policy. He is involved in multidisciplinary care of nodules and lung cancer at St Vincents Private Hospital Northside, as well as The Prince Charles Hospital where he chairs the Pulmonary Nodule MDT and is a co-chair of the Pulmonary Malignancy Conference.

Gerry performs advanced bronchoscopic diagnostic procedures with endobronchial ultrasound, including EBUS TBNA and radial EBUS via ultrathin bronchoscopy for sampling peripheral nodules.
